A Starmakers poster from 1983 shows a rather sexy pose of Misty. She spent 19 years making us laugh with her work on the country music comedy show Hee Haw. Misty has starred in over 200 TV shows, 10 films (playing Marilyn Monroe in at least two of them), posed for a Playboy pictorial (November 1976) and has even added directing and writing to her career which has spanned an incredible 50 years!
One of the rarer posters to find it seems. Judy (on right) is a popular character actress who had a 14 episode stint on the Robert Urich series Vega$ in 1978. But, maybe her most memorable role was as “Stacks” a female truck driver working for B.J. McKay (Greg Evigan) in the late 70s early 80’s television series B.J. and the Bear.
Audrey , who is two years older, might be best remembered for her role as Afton Cooper on the popular night time soap, Dallas, a role that she returned to in the 2014 reboot of the series.
But, don’t be fooled by the thought that these ladies are known only for their beauty. Judy, along with her sister, and their mother, Ruth, created and produced The Huggabug Club (1995-97) an education show for children shown on many PBS stations. They also provided much of the music for the series as well.
The sisters also did a photo shoot for Playboy magazine. Their non nude layout can be found in the January 1983 issue of the magazine which also offers them on the front cover.
To my recollection, there is one, possibly, two solo poster poses of Judy available.
Dian’s claim to fame is as an ex model (former winner of the 1965 Miss World USA Pageant) who was a prize presenter on the popular game show The Price is Right from 1975-93. She caused a bit of stir when she accused host Bob Barker of sexual harassment and filed suit against him in 1994, a year after she left the game show. Parkinson said that for the last three years of her stint on the show, she was forced to engage in a relationship with Barker (which resulted in a pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage) who threatened to fire her if she refused. Barker denied the accusation and said that the relationship was consensual (even claiming that it was Parkinson herself who actively pursued and seduced him) and eventually the suit was dropped in 1995 with Parkinson claiming it was taking a toll on her health and pocketbook.
Anyway, enough of the bad stuff, eh, what concerns us is the nice 1987 poster of Dian released by Starmakers. A bit of rarer poster to find, but one well worth adding to your collection. Oh, and you can see “more” of Dian, if you so desire, by getting copies of the December 1991 and May 1993 issues of Playboy magazine.
Gregory Harrison gained 1980’s teen idol status from his work as Dr. George Alonzo “Gonzo” Gates in the popular CBS television series Trapper John M.D. (79-86). He left the series mid way through the last season to pursue other acting ventures. A popular television movie from 1981 For Ladies Only saw Harrison cast as a male stripper (with a poster released of him in character also available).
Harrison married actress Randi Oakes (of CHiPS. fame) in 1980 and the couple have four children. Harrison currently has a reoccurring role as Thomas O’Brien on the Canadian American drama series Chesapeake Shores airing on the Hallmark Channel.
Keep up to date with what Gregory has been doing at hiswebsite.
